The Bean
The Bean is one of Chicago's best known sights. It's unique shape and reflecting surface makes it a landmark of the city.
It's original name is 'Cloud Gate' and it sits in the center of downtown Chicago also known as AT&T Plaza and is surrounded by Millennium Park.
A short walk through the park will lead you to Lake Michigan. In the summer time there are always events & concerts going on. And during the winter time between November and January it's the place for Chicago's largest Christmas Tree.
Willis Tower
Chicago has several observation decks and platforms that overlook the city, but one of the most breathtaking views are most definitely the ones from the Willis Tower, formerly known as Sears Tower.
From the observation deck on top of the skyscraper you have an awesome view of the skyline and Lake Michigan.
If you are not just looking for a tourist attraction the Signature Lounge at 96th is the place to be. Enjoy the view with a glass of wine or cocktail high up above the city on the 96th floor. Locals meet there after work and the drinks cost you about the same as admission for the observation deck.
Chicago Cubs
If there is any place where it doesn't matter whether you know anything about baseball or not, then it is here in the Cubs Stadium. The Cubs are playing at Wrigley Field which is located in the 'Wrigleyville' neighborhood just north of downtown Chicago. If you attend a game you will notice for yourself, the atmosphere is everything.
Hot Dogs, Beer and Funnel Cake is all it takes to make the day and if the Cubs are winning - even better!
